When you are happy with how the pillow is filled out finish single crocheting the two pieces together. Now i know we are months away from that time of the year but it does help to start making gifts earlier in the year.

I was originally going to design the pillows to look like candy conversation hearts. Chain 1 and single crochet the two heart pieces together through the single crochet stitches on the borders. My favorite time of the year is the winter season especially the holiday season. Once i got started though i changed my mind and decided to use white yarn for the font as opposed to red.

This pattern includes instructions for two sizes of heart pillows. The smaller pillow measures 8 wide x 7 5 tall. Place the two panels together matching up all sides. I think the pillows look like boxes of valentine chocolates.

Pattern is written in us crochet terminology. You ll need worsted weight yarn and a 4 5mm crochet hook. Starting on the left side at the top begin attaching the panels together by chaining one and single crocheting around the outside of the panels in blossom using two strands. You should now have two completed heart panels like so.

Using hook size f 5 3 75 mm heart pillow measures approximately 7 5 inches wide by 8 inches tall including the ruffle. Crochet all the way down and around the heart and up the opposite side. I also added a scallop border. For valentine s day i decided to design a heart pillow.
